The London Children's Book Swap is an annual opportunity for London's best loved venues to host a day of sharing books.

Children and families can visit one of the selected venues and pick up a book for free. They can also bring any books along with them to leave at the venue for another child to choose and take home.

This initiative celebrates reading and encourages children to discover new stories by exchanging hundreds of books and ideas as well as recommending their favourite authors and illustrators.

For the last two years, Shoreditch Trust has hosted Hackney's book swap venue in Waterhouse Restaurant. Nearly 1,000 books have been swapped so far.
