Shoreditch Trust introduces StarLit — a new week-long festival of children’s literature celebrating the very best of writing for 5 to 15 year-olds.

StarLit has been developed and produced by Shoreditch Trust as part of their commitment to encourage children to develop a passion for literature and reading, self-expression and creative writing.

StarLit’s unique festival model provides children in all participating schools with copies of books to read throughout September followed by the opportunity to meet the authors and illustrators of each title in a creative event in Hoxton Square.

This year’s StarLit will take place from 4-8 October 2010.
