Teresa is the Assistant Project Manager for Shoreditch Trust Community Connections. Teresa has extensive knowledge and experience gained during the past 6 years in health and wellbeing. The role is an opportunity to work closely with other Shoreditch Trust projects to offer local residents the best support and opportunities to lead healthier and more fulfilling lives.
She provides motivational support and guidance in areas such as healthy eating, weight maintenance, and encouraging more activity and exercise by providing Action Plans.
Teresa has a passion for supporting the local community, particularly those that find it a struggle to engage in local services. She suffered her own health problems in the past and knows how difficult it can be to address these but also how important the right people and support can be in making a difference. Previous job roles have mainly been in the health and wellbeing field in different organisations both in and out of London. She has been with Shoreditch Trust since the start of the Health Hubs in January 2014. Teresa also participated in the Active Citizens Programme, run by Shoreditch Trust and went on an International Study Visit to Morocco in 2016.
Teresa’s main passion is cycling which she does as much as she can. She loves exploring new areas and spending quality time outdoors. She also enjoys gardening and is fortunate enough to have a garden. Teresa loves animals and is passionate about supporting the endangered wildlife. Her dream is to work abroad to experience a different way of life and culture and hopes to do this in the next 2 years. She would also love to tour Morocco by bike having visited and fallen in love with the country.
